One of the things I quite like about micro.blog is the way posts are written in a thoughtful and considered way. I have a lot of admiration for people who make writing look so effortless when I’m often staring at the keyboard wondering where to start.

A noticeable thing about micro.blog is the complete absence of spam accounts, which is clearly due to the work @jean does in zapping them. Our own 007 Licence to Kill.

There have been so many people signing up to the local aus.social Mastodon instance in the last few days it’s a veritable feast of new people to engage with. Many I recognise from twitter that had slowly become less engaged. Hopefully that changes now they’re on Mastodon.

Starting the Microblogvember challenge with a photo of the fine figure of a feline, Ms Ali. This gorgeous girl brings me joy every day. She is not a needy cat but is never far away from me when I’m home, usually watching me going about my day.

I’m a big fan of the Carrot weather app and its snarky messages. The combination of homicidal personality and communist politics in settings delivers some great stuff that often cracks me up.
