Project meetings are an all or nothing thing lately. We’re either racing towards the objective as everyone is keen for change or we inch towards consensus on what’s acceptable.

Sometimes a person says something quite incidental in a meeting and you finally get an insight into what they’re trying to achieve. I have some sympathy for project managers that have been brought in, given a minimal briefing on project purpose and then let loose.
If there was any doubt about who runs this household … the cat just walked over to the balcony door, sat down and turned her head to look at me and I said “sorry, I’ll be there in a moment”. 🐈
One of my favourite things is the art on the utility cabinets all over Brisbane as part of the Artforce program. This one is Topograffiti by Shahni Bidwell and brightens an otherwise dull electrical substation.

Talking to my nephew yesterday and I was suddenly reminded of my father, a man he never really knew as he passed away when my nephew was quite young. His face at a certain angle, the way he stood and the mischief in his voice was like the strongest echo down through the years.
A good article from The Conversation on how online communities move and adapt. While many people have left twitter it will take time to see if mastodon is a successful replacement. People need time to explore, find their communities again and decide if they like the new home.

I have a big and comfortable chair that I like to sit in to read. I deliberately bought one that was large enough for The Cat to tuck in beside me, which I love her doing. Well, except when she is shedding hair. I feel like there’s as much hair on my clothes as on her lately. 🐈
