The Bluesky whatβs hot timeline is a bin fire and basically unusable. Bad luck if you wanted to get on and quietly try things out. Appears the sh*tposters have arrived π
Friday night plan:
Fish and chips β
Glass of wine - underway
Hunt for Red October - imminent
A friend said βone ping onlyβ in the group chat the other night and Iβve had a hankering to watch the Russian with the Scottish accent ever since. One of my favourite movies. π½οΈ
πΈ Long weekend - engage (Picard finger point)
Cat on my lap = peaceful start to the day.
Cat on my lap = extreme guilt about needing to get out of chair to go to work. π
βStop corporate greedβ protest on an apartment development site at the end of my street with a large crane prevented from entering site. Two police cars and three police bikes keeping an eye on the protestors and not a single one doing anything about the crane blocking visibility on the main road.
Stumbled across this Star Trek Picard ending but with the Beach Boys. So good. ππ»
π Making pizza for lunch, with all of the anchovies. All. Of. The. Anchovies.
Finished The Diplomat on Netflix.
Good pacing, underlying story isn’t overly complex and links everything together. Iβve seen comparisons to West Wing but I think it’s closer to Madam Secretary. If you liked those or more recently The Night Agent or The Recruit on Netflix you should enjoy this. πΊ
Checking out Bluesky. Not sure Iβll use it actively but if nothing else Iβve reserved my username. Now to find some people to follow.
Spoiler free thoughts on the final episode of Star Trek Picard.
Nice touch having Walter Koenig do the voice of his son, the federation president.
Worf has had the best lines throughout the season.
That final scene with the TNG crew, a perfect way to end.
Watch the credits.
Brilliant.
