📺 Finished watching A Gentleman in Moscow (2024) ★★★½

It had a nice flow to the story as it moved through the years and didn't feel like it was jumping ahead just for the sake of it. Ewan McGregor played the fallen aristocrat very well, you could see him adapting to his changed circumstances as time went by. The sort of show you could binge but just as easily watch at leisure over a few weeks as each episode is complete. Not quite stand alone but not leaving things hanging as a build up to the next episode.

The large park near me has very popular and busy markets every Saturday morning with stalls set up around the ring road. I often see a guy with a metal detector sweeping the ground late on a Saturday afternoon after everyone has packed up. I wonder how much stuff he still finds.

📺 Finished watching Star Trek: Discovery (Season 5, 2024) ★★½

Across the bottom is a rating of Poor Okay Good Great with Okay selected. The review reads: A life long Star Trek fan, I’d been struggling to stay with this show in the previous two seasons. It’s definitely one which has had fans very clearly in the love or hate camps. Maybe knowing it was the final season meant the writers aimed higher and wanted to give a sense of completion but this season was an improvement on the previous two and I came to enjoy it again. All things considered, not as good as the first two seasons but a satisfactory conclusion.
